Fourth-place finish at Hawkeye Downs
CJ Horn returned to action this weekend as Hawkeye Downs transitioned from asphalt to dirt for the Dirt at the Downs special — a multi-race series running through September and October.
Horn joined 40 entries, and stormed into the $4,100-to-win A-Main with a fourth-to-first run in his heat, placing him on the second row. He surrendered one spot in the 25-lap affair, crossing the line in fourth. He trailed Nick Marolf, Travis Smock, and Dallon Murty in the final rundown with Luke Goedert rounding out the top five.
