CJ Horn tops Bullring Shootout at Benton County

CJ Horn embarked on a three-race swing across Iowa and Nebraska over the weekend, kicking things off Friday night at Davenport Speedway for the IMCA Late Model portion of the Corn State Nationals.

After a runner-up finish in his heat race, Horn advanced to the feature and gained four positions to finish seventh.

On Saturday, Horn headed to Benton County Speedway for the Karl Chevrolet Pro Late Model Tour finale, where he notched a podium finish with a third-place run in the $3,500-to-win A-Main. He also competed in the Bullring Shootout, driving from 11th-to-1st in the 15-lap dash, worth a $1,000 prize.

The weekend wrapped up Sunday at Nebraska’s Boone County Speedway for the $8,502-to-win Ray Haase Memorial. Horn secured the final transfer spot in his B-Main and was running 23rd in the feature when rain brought the 35-lapper to an early end on lap 14.
